Friday Evening Yin Yoga 5 Element Series

5pm PT/ 8pm ET ~ 75 minute Class

Join us at Danyasa for a weekly Yin Yoga class via Zoom. Each week we will explore a different Element through a series of traditional Yin postures.

In a Yin Yoga practice, you will breathe in postures for 3-5 minutes, softening into a space of receptivity and presence. It is a space to become deeply intimate with your own mind, body, and emotions; slowing down and inviting your awareness home inside while inviting space to open from within.

Each session will begin by connecting home with your body through some gentle, flowing movements and breathwork, before exploring a series of Yin postures that directly work on the meridians connected with each week’s Element, and it’s related organs and emotions.

Join for one session or join for all. After each class, you will receive a recording of the class alongside a worksheet about the Element of the week. If you can’t make it for the actual class you can still register to receive a recording to do in your own time.

She is an avid believer that each individual’s yoga mat is an inspiring microcosm for life itself, encouraging us to flow with freedom, curiosity, awareness and compassion both on the mat and out in the world.

When we step onto our mats we gift ourselves the space to connect deeper to our true self as abundant, playful, creative beings. We begin to inhabit our bodies from a place of greater acceptance, love and curiosity; embracing and accepting all parts of ourself. We hold space to feel deeply what is moving within us at that present moment; the waves of the heart and mind. We begin to feel the infinite freedom that is innate within all of us, so that we may step off our mat and into the wider world feeling truly alive, connected and whole.
